Shorapur (Surpur) was a historical princely town and minor feudatory state in India. It was ruled by the Nayak (Bedara) rajas from 1639 to 1857. The term "Bahiri" refers to the Bahiri Rajas dynasty of Shorapur, famous in numismatics for issuing distinctive copper paisa coins around 1845–1846 (AH 1262) under the broader Hyderabad Princely State influence.
