This medal of support for the military endeavours of Empress Maria Theresa was produced by medalist Jean Dassier (1676-1763) in Geneva, where he was the main engraver at the civic mint. His oeuvre included works for the Holy Roman emperors, French and English kings and many wealthy nobles from all over Europe.
