Bronze medal for Alf Prøysen from 1971. Alf Prøysen was a poet and lyricist as well as an author of children's books, he lived from 1914 to 1970.
Most of Prøysen's stories and songs have a village-rural character. He himself grew up in a village in Hedmark, among farm workers and among neighbors and family members on the farms. His earliest texts in particular tell of life among agricultural workers. From the 1960s onwards, the songs and stories became more and more about people - from all social classes.
