An attractive Mint State example of this classic Bavarian Crown taler, displaying a sharply defined portrait of King Ludwig I with particularly nice small details of the hair. The reverse features a richly ornamented royal crown within a finely executed laurel and oak wreath. Both sides exhibit predominantly platinum-gray toning with remaining luster present on a reflective fields. Some excessive contact marks, more prominent on obverse determine the grade - MS 62 by PCGS. Still very nice, pleasing and historically significant early 19th Century Bavarian silver crown, retaining considerable character and attractive old-collection appearance!
