Popular "Historic" Taler of Ludwig I of Bavaria - Blessing of Heaven to the Royal Family or "Family Thaler" - famous by design, highly desirable in between collectors coin. An unusually engaging example of Ludwig I's celebrated "Historical Talers", displaying a sharp strike and substantial remaining mint brilliance. The intricate reverse portrait of Queen Therese and the eight royal children are exceptionally well delineated. Bright, reflective fields show scattered handling lines consistent with the assigned grade, while the devices remain crisp and essentially free of wear. A particularly attractive Mint State representative of one of the most iconic Bavarian Geschichtstaler designs! Great collectible and investment coin!
