Mongols dirhem 1284-1291 RR silver of Arghun , Shafurqan, Mongol Ilkhanid Empire

Kalima (Muslim profession of faith), Sikkah Balkh below / Arghun Khan ..., Shafurqan. 17mm, 2.58 grams. Shafurqan mint. Album 2156S; cf.Zeno 160134.

Very rare type, high quality for the type. The metal is actual silver, not billon (it is toned, but at some point you can see that the metal is white silver). A note from Steve Album about this type "This is a new type for me, and I have added it to the 4th edition of the Checklist as type A-2156S, and tentatively marked it as RR (or should it be RRR?). Also, I have called the coin "BI jital" rather than "dirham", as it appears in this illustration to be relatively low silver-content (if any at all)."
