75th Anniversary of the Holland Iron Railway Company - Wienecke.

The Dutch Iron Railway Company (HIJSM), founded in 1837, was the first railway company in the Netherlands. In 1839, it launched the country's first railway line between Amsterdam and Haarlem. HIJSM played a crucial role in the development of the Dutch railway network.

It is noteworthy that Wienecke used his son, Eduard Wienecke, as the model for the man on the obverse.

De Hollandse IJzeren Spoorweg-Maatschappij (HIJSM), opgericht in 1837, was de eerste spoorwegmaatschappij in Nederland. Ze opende in 1839 de eerste spoorlijn tussen Amsterdam en Haarlem. HIJSM speelde een cruciale rol in de ontwikkeling van het Nederlandse spoorwegsysteem.

Wetenswaardig is dat Wienecke zijn zoon, Eduard Wienecke, als model heeft gebruikt voor de man op de voorzijde.
